Classes give a good foundation for those who are new to the temple or new to Buddhism and provide a great opportunity to explore the teachings of the Buddhadharma.
Classes are typically held at least once per practice period:
September-December and January-April

Place your cash or check in the dana (donation) boxes, found at each entrance of the temple.

Introduction to Meditation from the Tibetan Perspective
Introduction to Buddhist Meditation class offers practical techniques for cultivating mindfulness and breath awareness and a comprehensive exploration of foundational meditation practices. Mainly focused on developing single-pointed concentration, it is perfect for beginners and those looking to spend time reviewing shamatha meditation techniques. Discover how these ancient practices can enhance your sitting practice.

Intermediate Meditation

Fundamentals of Buddhism
Learn the basics of Buddhist philosophy, the life of Buddha and his teachings as handed down from Asia to the West. This course will also cover basic meditation, texts, and how to implement Buddhist teachings and practices into our daily lives.

This class will be available to anyone who has completed the Fundamentals of Buddhism Class. The class will delve deeper into key Buddhist principles valuable to developing and expanding your unique practice.
